MEET THE MEIERS
Welcome to Meier's Mississippi Retrievers! Aaron and I are glad you stopped by. We're a family owned breeder, located in central Minnesota on the beautiful Mississippi River. We LOVE our Goldens! Rosie, Rudy and Gus are a huge part of our family, and because they are such amazing dogs we wanted to share them with you!
We have 4 very busy children! Madeline (22), Olivia (20), Maxwell (12) and Amelia (10). Aaron is an Elementary Physical Education teacher at Royalton Elementary School, and I am currently the full-time chaos coordinator for our crazy, busy family.
Together we love to be outdoors!
Boating, camping, hunting, fishing, baseball... we love to do it all!
Our puppies are born in our home and family raised. Aaron and I whelp each puppy as they come into this world to ensure good health, safety, and a warm, loving environment. They have child interaction from the very beginning, and grow to be wonderful, fun loving family dogs!
You won't find a better companion, than with one of our Goldens or Doodles!

Our Happy Families
Nala Rose has been such a wonderful addition to our dog loving family. She quickly adjusted to our other two dogs, Milo (4) and Daisy (10) and our three children. She was easy to train and has a very calm temperament. Elizabeth was wonderful to work with. When we picked up Nala, we were given a freshly bathed pup with all the papers and a care package to get us through the first couple of days. This is the 3rd golden we have had over the past 20 years and Nala is by far our favorite for so many reasons. At only 9 months old, we have taken her camping, running, swimming, and hunting. She does it all. With a little training, she has become a great listener and is very intelligent. We will definitely purchase another dog from Meier's Mississippi Retrievers when the time comes.

We received Rudy, Jr. from the Meier’s in December 2020 to give our girls as a Christmas present. He has been such a joy to have. The Meier’s do a wonderful job of socializing them and getting them ready for their new homes. They were easy to work with and so accommodating in helping us carry out the surprise! Rudy Jr. has such a loving temperament, is good with other dogs, friendly to people gentle with our children. He also does well when we take him on the boat, swimming, going for walks & runs, riding in the car and watching our daughters Nordic Ski races! (He loves the snow!) We couldn’t be happier with our first retriever! The coloring of Rudy, Jr. is also beautiful and unique and we always get compliments on his coloring. I highly recommend getting a puppy from the Meiers!
